Firm Overview
With over fifteen years of criminal defense experience, and nearly fifteen years of dependency and neglect experience, our firm brings an extensive trial litigation background to our clients. One reason that we have developed an excellent reputation in the criminal defense arena is that our firm has an exceptionally strong appellate background that gives us the edge in areas such as evidence, objections, constitutional issues, and motions. When we try a case, our eyes and ears are open for the judge's and prosecutor's mistakes. We do the appellate work ourselves, which adds a layer of accountability to our trial work.
Our response to adversity is a highly technical motions practice, in-house investigation, in-house paralegal services, and the highest quality criminal defense work possible.
Why do some defendant's get better deals than other defendants? Experience in the jurisdiction! There is no substitute for a lawyer's knowledge of the players in the courtroom: the judge; the prosecutor; the clerks and the bailiffs. We have extensive experience in the following jurisdictions: Jefferson County, Gilpin County, The City and County of Denver, Arapahoe County, Douglas County, and Adams County,. We have also practiced in Boulder County, Broomfield County, El Paso County, Mesa County, Summit County, Alamosa County, and Elbert County.
In Federal Court, the federal sentencing guidelines have driven many defense lawyers out of federal courtrooms. Not us. Our work in federal court and working against minimum mandatory sentences has only strengthened our conviction to provide creative, powerful and aggressive trial work in our federal courts.
In juvenile courts, where consequences have increased for juveniles, we have the experience to guide you and your child through the system. In particular, we specialize in cases involving children who are developmentally delayed, and cases where juveniles are accused of committing sexual offenses. Before you take your child to talk to the cops, call us!
Our practice in the following areas includes:
